Antiwrinkle injections is made of a purified protein that blocks the nerve transmission to the muscles that cause wrinkles of the face. After treatment, the muscles relax, and the overlying skin becomes smooth and unwrinkled. It is used to eliminate the frown lines between the brows, smooth out forehead wrinkles, and soften the ‘crow’s feet’ wrinkles next to the eyes. Other areas of the face can be treated as well.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet. The repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Treatments require maintenance treatments to preserve the result, typically every 3-5 months.
Wrinkles result from a combination of many factors. It’s not just about cellular changes that can occur over time, reduction of collagen, or damage caused by sun damage and the environment. When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. And when you squint, the muscles around your eyes contract and cause crow’s feet. By reducing these contractions the lines are reduced.
